Recording Notice

Be open about recording.

Recallio is built for conversations where everyone knows they are being recorded. Before you record, tell the people in the conversation, and give them a chance to object or leave.

Suggested notice to read aloud

“Before we start: I'm recording this conversation with Recallio so I can have an accurate transcript of who said what. The recording and transcript are for [purpose]. Your voice will not be remembered unless you choose to opt in. If you'd prefer not to be recorded, please say so now.”

Please don't use Recallio for

Voice memory

Naming a speaker only labels a transcript. A voice is remembered only when that person opts in, and only where voice memory is available for the declared country or region.

This notice is general guidance, not legal advice. Recording rules differ between places; check what applies to you.
